Arabesque

This general styling group includes various shapes with one unifying theme-- they all feature beautiful Turkish, Arabesque styled leaf and flower patterns on the bowl. Though Gülel figurals are beautiful and ornate, they are not always the most convenient shapes for frequent smoking. We've heard from many smokers that they would smoke a meerschaum more if there were meerschaum pipes available that were a more convenient size and shape for when they're on the go. Topkapi

Perhaps the best known Gülel shape, the Topkapi is, currently, the bestselling Gülel meerschaum pipe. Striking a nice balance between the ultra-ornate figurals and the more conservative relief pipes (the arabesques or even the lattices), the Topkapi features carving similar to the arabesque with a flaired section at the top of the bowl.
