Savinelli's Punto Oro Gold series offers some of the marque's traditional pipe-chart shapes, rendered from select briar and meticulously controlled for quality. Here we have the "701," a classic Lovat that belies the usual, neoclassical shaping we expect from the marque, and hews closer to the English archetype. It's finished in the series's sandblasted rendition, offering a dark, classic palette and plenty of texture in hand.
